一:成立的宗旨 Purpose of Establishment

蔡奇助先生紀念獎學金為紀念中山大學生物科學系(以下稱本系)系友蔡奇助博士，任職於行政院農業委員會高雄區農業改良場，其一生致力於蘭花育種與遺傳研究，為延續蔡奇助博士的研究精神與理念，設立其獎學金(以下簡稱本獎學金)並訂定其辦法，以期提攜本系碩、博士生從事植物學相關等研究。

Chi-Chu Tsai Memorial Scholarship is established in memory of Dr. Chi-Chu Tsai, an alumnus of the Department of Biological Sciences at National Sun Yat-sen University (hereinafter referred to as “this department”), who served at the Executive Yuan Council of Agriculture Kaohsiung District Agricultural Improvement Station. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to orchid breeding and genetic research. To continue his research spirit and philosophy, this scholarship (hereinafter referred to as “this scholarship”) has been established along with its regulations, with the aim of supporting master's and doctoral students in this department engaged in research related to botany and other fields.

二:獎學金之經費來源 Funding Source for the Scholarship

本獎學金由相關研究學者及親友捐款做為獎學金基金。

The scholarship is funded by donations from relevant researchers and friends and family as the scholarship fund.

三:獎勵資格與獎學金額度 Application Eligibility and Amounts

1.本獎學金之獎勵對象為本系在學生，從事植物學相關研究之碩、博士生(不包含在職生)。

The scholarship is available for students, including master’s and doctoral students (excluding in-service master’s students) who are enrolled in the department and engaged in research related to botany.

2.每年至多2名，但得從缺，申請人數超額時，依其提出的相關學術成就(期刊或研討會論文發表)與學業成績資料審定之，金額每人新台幣15,000元整。

A maximum of two recipients may be awarded each year, although positions may remain unfilled. If the number of applicants exceeds the available spots, selection will be based on their relevant academic achievements (such as published papers in journals or conferences) and academic performance. The scholarship amount is NT$15,000 for each recipient.

四:申請時間與所需資料:

1.本年度申請日期 即日起至11月11日(一)止。

The application period is until Nov 11 (Mon)

2.檢附申請書與相關學術及學業資料各1份送至生科系，由植物學專長教師組成審查委員會審查，資料不全或不符規定者，不予受理。

Please submit one copy of the application form along with relevant academic and achievement materials to the Department of Biological Science. A review committee composed of faculty members with expertise in botany will evaluate the applications. Applications with incomplete information or that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted.
